Okay, how to back a punk song? How about with one of the great “pop” vocal trios of all time? No, I didn’t intentionally put these together this way. This part of the dual look of songs that are 40 and 50 years old this year is listed alphabetically. It’s just a coincidence. And what a pleasant one at that, as we sing along with today’s tune from 1972. Run to Me - Bee Gees I did a Bee Gees countdown a couple of years ago, and I pointed out they had three careers: the first hit era in the 60s; the early-mid 70s when they reunited after a brief hiatus (with the exception of Liam and Noel Gallagher you really can’t say brothers “break up” [well, Bill and Earl Bolick, too, but you don’t know who they were ]); and, the Saturday Night Fever era where they basically OWNED the pop charts.
