As I mentioned earlier the kids are with their grandma for the night. So we actually went out for a LATE lunch / early dinner.
There is a Resturaunt in town that has been open for fifty years. It is a family run business that is about the only place in town if you want a good /non fast food burger.
I get the same thing everytime we go, the other half does the same. We know its going to be good every time, and its more than fairly priced.
I got a crispy chicken sandwich with lettuce, tomato and mayo with tator tots and a sweet tea. The other half got a 3/4 pound cheeseburger with bacon mayo and ketchup , regular fries and sweet tea.
We got out of there for $30 with tip.
So I guess it is still a frugal meal, especially for eating out with how steep prices are these days.

It was good. Plus our waitress is Australian and she's super friendly. Always try to tip her extra.

For me that would be too much, but I´m glad you enjoyed it. I´m about to heat my casserole now. I have 2 servings with meat and another juicy serving basically of veggies. I guess tomorrow I´ll steam other veggies and will go vegetarian.

Well. You choose what you want to spend money on, and I figure we are only going to be kid free for a certain amount of days. Summer is almost over, school starts and then I will be cooking every single night. So thirty dollars for us both to eat food that I didn't have to cook is so worth it. When I cook I usually end up eating last and my foods cold by the time I can eat.

I made chicken in the crock pot. I had it with baked potatoes made in the microwave and made brown rice and gravy for my husband.

YUM. I've wanted some rice for awhile. The stuff we got with Chinese food was not very good.
