The one good deal of children watching the medical drama called "The Good Doctor." is that seven year old boy David Diaz Junior learned how to use the Heimlich maneuver to save a fellow student who was choking after he was eating a pizza at lunch last month at Woodrow Wilson Elementary School in Binghampton New York during lunch.
David who was the closest student to the choking victim when he used the life saving maneuver on his classmate whose name was not released.
The best part of this story is that the act where David Junior who is a second grader at the elementary school received from New York State Senator Fred Ashkar along with Binghampton City School Superintendent Dr. Tonia Thompson presented David Junior with an award for life saving deed on June 13.
David's father David Senior is proud of his son learning life saving techniques that he remembered watching a television show on the American Broadcasting Company (ABC).

@RubyHawk David's dad is thinking that if his son wants to be doctor or nurse when he becomes an adult, he has taken his first step.

The amazing part is that kids and adults today are learning how to use first aid training via their work and school settings.

I did not know that you learned how to use the Heimlich maneuver seeing the Groundhog movie. That is wonderful to know that you learned the life saving move watching a movie.

I am amazed that a second grade elementary school student knows how to use the Heimlich Maneuver at a young age to save the life of a fellow student at lunch time.

I like the idea that a child did learn life saving skills watching a medical television show and memorize the method to save a victim from choking.

I can relate to that since I use the lines of a show and movie to motivate me to be a better person.
