I think over the years of working as a tutor I improve. Tutoring is different from being a classroom teacher but both need years of experience to really be an expert and professional. They are both challenging job. Having one on one student does not mean the work is easier. I still get very tired for teaching 1 and a half hours.
I improve in my style, confidence, approach and skill. Each tutorial session is a learning experience. I think I will take this job seriously and be of big help to learners

I believe that being a tutor would be even harder. Especially, if you are working with a student who doesn't care to learn. Your job is admirable!

@averygirl72 Respecting the teacher is important, or the teaching sessions are a struggle.

An individual tutor has the opportunity to make a great deal of difference to their pupil. I'm sure you are really good at what you do.

Having your own private teacher is a big help to students. If I'm a parent I want my kids to have tutors too

@JudyEv Here it is common for rich kids to have a tutor even if they are already in private schools. Some middle class families with kids and public schools also tutor for a while

@averygirl72 I don't think it is a really common thing here but it could be.

I've worked as a tutor when I was studying at university. The tutee was a primary student. I understand it's not an easy job.
