I am sure that a mule deer doe had the bad luck of having her head trapped inside of a trash can lid when she decided to eat food located in the middle of a frisbee golf course in McCall Idaho last Thursday since the population in that area have a bad habit of leaving debris in the area.
After several residents in the area notified the officials of the Idaho Fish And Game (IDFG) about the sighting of a mule deer doe having a trash can wrapped around her neck which even though it did not restrict the breathing ability of the animal, it did look bad on the animal.
The IDFG officials decided to use a dart gun to put the doe to sleep so the officials could remove the lid from the head of the doe which was easier to get done since the doe was asleep.
The doe did wake up from the effects of the dart gun and she is free to roam in her outdoors home safe and sound.

@RubyHawk I am sure that the deer has a happy mind that she can walk around her area without feeling the stress of carrying the lid on her neck.

@Deepizzaguy Poor deer. I’m sure he’s happy to have it off his head. Glad there was help for him.

I know if I was in the skin of that mule doe having an object on my head, it would bother me a lot.

That is true since an animal does not deserve to have any objects on top of their heads.

AW, that's a nice happy ending. I am sure she is happy to have that off of her neck. Quite inconvenient and probably made it hard for her to get a drink. Thanks for sharing a happy story!
