Frugal Finds: Pawn Shop Edition 7.19.2022

This post will make @moffittjc either laugh or just make fun of me. He loves giving me he!! for what he alls my obsession with buying DVDs. Since when we started interacting, I was without internet or cable. Those were the days that I bought DVDs constantly, off Amazon, eBay, thrift stores, Walmart movie bins. If it was a movie I wanted and it was cheap, I bought it. I haven't posted about DVD hauls in awhile, because we quite literally have whatever we could possibly want to watch save a few movies that aren't available on streaming (I'm looking at you Dogma). But part of us celebrating our anniversary in a semi not planned out/cheap way was us going to the Pawn Shop. I didn't go there really to buy anything in particular, we just went, because you never know what you are going to find there. Of course we perused everything, but when we got to the DVD section, I paid a little more attention. We have the first three seasons of Burn Notice on DVD, and I want the last four- so that's what I was looking for. For some reason those DVDs are popular at thrift stores/pawn shops. But alas, there was no Burn Notice to be found. However we did pick up 3 DVDs/4 movies. And all for under $5. I picked out Suicide Kings, because well duh. If you haven't seen it, run don't walk and watch it. Then I found the first two Fast and the Furious movies, which we have been talking about getting them all on DVD anyway, so we got them. The other half picked out The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The one from 2003, because I had never seen it before. So we got 4 movies, for under $5. I thought it was a pretty good deal. We watched Texas Chainsaw Massacre last night. I think we may try to watch Suicide Kings tonight. But I don't know. And,yeah that is all we got at the pawn shop.
