How is the heat?

I hope our UK viewers are ok in the heat wave! Our weather is up to 33ºC today with high humidity, so I am staying inside, running the humidifier. It's pretty comfortable in the room but the hallway is hot. I have to go out later in the afternoon, so I hope it will be a little cooler. I know the people who live in hot countries are probably doing all right. What does your culture do to help with the heat? One thing I love about Japan is tatami mats, which are woven from grass stems or rice stems. They smell good and when you sit or lie on them, they feel cool.

Our country mostly gears itself up ready for heat and most houses now have A/C in one form or another.

We have an AC. However, it kills us to go outside. I am a college student. I go through hell while going to college during the summers!!
