Good morning, few minutes after I've posted my last discussion here, Sam invited me to take a walk outside. He suggested to walk from our apartment going to another place to his school to another place until we go back to our apartment. Based on my calculation, that will be about 3 kilometers. Imagine before I've walked for 4.5 kilometers in a different route. Now, we did another route and only a 3 kilometers walking. I hope tomorrow, we can do it again but with my youngest son and my wife. It will be a whole family walking. The last time we did a family walking was about 2 months ago. As of now, it's already 6:32am. My wife is teasing me that we have to walk going to my mother's place. The route will be City of San Jose del Monte to Caloocan City then to Quezon City. Just give an estimation of the kilometer. From City of San Jose del Monte (our place) to Caloocan City will be around 40 kilometers. Then from Caloocan City to Quezon City (my mother's place) that will be around 30 kilometers. So, overall it might be around 70 kilometers. So, imagine, can you walk with 70 kilometers? How much hours can you walk with 60 kilometers?

@DevMrSamEleazar 14 meters is bit less already. Maybe if we didn't take a shortcut, we hit more than 3 kilometers.

That's good exercise. I walk about 45 minutes every morning or evening.

Wow. Great to know. That walk we did was about 45 minutes also. I'll try a walk later in the evening for about 30 minutes if the weather permits.

I don't know if I am being honest. I don't think I would make it. My shoulders would be killing me.

@luisga814 I use a manual wheelchair due to having serbal palsy. Going as far as you implied (without converting it to miles), in one shot would hurt. And likely be exhausting because my hands have to push that chair.

Before the pandemic, 3 years ago I think. I walk going to the office from Robinson's Galleria to Emerald St. That back and forth. Then ride a jeep going to San Juan. And then from San Juan going to J Ruiz walk again but not 70km.

I missed biking. I couldn't afford to walk far anymore, not with out risking gout. The biking was recommended by our family doctor.

I can only walk about 50 feet these days. It's good that you're getting a lot of exercise.

Not necessarily a lot of exercise. Sometimes I don't go out but I can do the walking back and forth inside the apartment.

Walking is very healthy. I do it almost everyday. Sometimes I cover 5 - 7 km depending on my physical fitness.

It depends on the weather. If it's hot outside then I can barely walk to the car.

If you do that everyday then it's a good fat burner.
