Cheerful Colors Only.

I remember the days when people dressed solely in black or dark purple when attending a funeral , but times have certainly changed. These days l am seeing funeral attendees wearing very colorful garb and upbeat styles. Of course some who have passed on leave clear instructions before passing on that there should be cheerful colors only at their funeral. When last did you attend a funeral and what were the colors worn? Was it the traditional black, dark, or cheerful colors. What color would you prefer to wear at a funeral.? Pixabay image.

There was even a time in the 19th century when black clothes must be worn for up to a year. I agree, I don't think anyone wears just black or dark colors anymore.

Yes l read about that - dressing in widow's black for a year. I wonder if widowers did it too.

That happens here. People are sometimes asked to wear bright clothing. Otherwise just about anything goes anyway.
