I've got an angel food cake in the oven

I had a bunch of egg whites left over from Project Ice Cream so I decided to use them up making angel food cake. I made my first one (using the recipe from Stella Parks' Bravetart baking book) last week and it was great! I used my second mother's MIL's mocha frosting to make an iced layered angel food cake. (It was delish!) Today I'm making another cake to use up some of the egg whites I had in the freezer. . . and to free up some of my reusable plastic containers. Soooo I have one in the oven baking for another 34 minutes. After that is finished I have to let it cool for like 2 hours and make some stovetop vanilla pudding from scratch. (again Bravetart) Tomorrow I am going to cube up the cake, wash and slice strawberries, whip up some sweetened heavy cream, and use the vanilla pudding to make a trifle like my grandma used to do. I might just make a mini one for me and my neighbor to share and then keep the rest of the components separate to assemble just before eating. That way I won't have to worry about the cake getting soggy or the strawberries getting their red color all over the place. Look at me-always thinking! So that is today's kitchen project. What have you baked lately?

As you know, I can no longer cook or bake. It breaks my heart sometimes because I thought that was what I would spend my time doing when I retired. Anyhow, my mother and my husband are big angel food cake fans. I've had the strawberry shortcake version of the angel food cake; but for the most part, I'm not a fan. I'll bet your concoctions were dee=lish though!
