Around 70 years ago I wanted to live in the wild. I had read a book about a boy who lived in the jungle and had a tiger for his friend. He was a sort of Tarzan.
I always wondered why all of those jungle people were men. There was no woman living in the jungle and befriending a tiger or an elephant
It took me 5 more years to discover that I preferred to go camping and 10 more years to decide that a hotel with a nice bathroom was what I needed.
Now and for a long time I absolutly need a good bed of a certain height and a very good and clean bathroom. People change and the floor is far away
But TV has given me the possibility of watching animals without fear and of climbing while staying in my bed. The Serengueti is part of my experience thanks to many people who really go there and make awesome movies with the natural life that I wanted to be part of as a child.
I hope that we can take care of that and stop destroying our planet. So many children will then be able to be as happy as I was.

I agree with you that we need to take care of our resources for the next generation to enjoy the beauty of our world.

Tjere are many people who do now what I dreamed of doing when I was 7 years old. I would not like to deprive the next generation of that.

Man is destroying the planet that he/she lives on bit by bit by bit. I wonder if we will be here in another 200 years.

That's interesting. When I was young, I wanted to live in the forest all by myself. I had read a book too. It was called, "My Side of the Mountain" and it was about a boy who ran away from his home in the city and lived in the bottom of a hollowed-out tree. He made a roof for it out of branches. He had a per raccoon. Unlike you though, I haven't outgrown my dream of living in the woods. But I would prefer a log cabin with real furniture rather than a hollowed-out tree!

In my book, the boy had been kidnapped when he was a baby. Throughout the series of books, the boy looked for his biological parents while doing other incredible things. Now I find hard to think of living in another part of the city
