Real Good Foods breakfast sandwiches

I bought these on Sunday to try one of the products from the company my daughter now works for. I love sausage egg and cheese sandwiches for breakfast. What I didn't know is that unlike most frozen foods, they weren't supposed to be cooked while frozen. They were supposed to be thawed first and then cooked only briefly. I goofed. My poor sandwich was SO overcooked. The buns are made from cauliflower and cheese, but when I ate it, it was like cardboard. I was so disappointed. I had already disposed of the box, so I had to look them up online to find out how to cook them (after I already ruined it). I hope tomorrow morning I'll have a better experience with my sandwich. I like that there are very few carbs in their foods. I just wish they were cheaper.

Good luck for your next trial. I do not like cauliflower, so this is not something I would eat.

Oh I do. I like it mashed. It's a really good replacement for mashed potatoes.

@LadyDuck I'm sure that makes them easier to avoid.

@jerzgirl I cannot eat most cruciferous veggies, they give me problems. At least I do not like them, so I do not suffer too much.

They sound healthy as they have less carb. Maybe they will taste good when cooked following the instructions. Do you get them free or at discounted rates as your daughter works there??

I hope so. I really like the idea behind them. And yes, employees do get free samples, but not enough to fill our freezer.

@jerzgirl Oh! I see. But still you would get them free from time to time to enjoy them

The sandwiches don't look exactly like the picture. The sausage and egg are actually bigger than the bun.

I don't think it tastes like cauliflower. In fact, what I've had with cauliflower I find the added flavors mask the cauliflower's cabbageness. It easily picks up the flavors it's mixed with. Much like rice does.

I prefer homemade sandwiches... I hardly have frozen food. If you can, avoid frozen food...absolutely unhealthy for digestive system

I don't eat fresh items often enough to avoid waste, so these are great for me.
