Wendy Watson who lives in a home in Greenville County South Carolina was sound asleep in her bed on Tuesday morning when she heard her doorbell ring around 3:30am. When she got out of bed to see what is happening, she was shocked to see a bear touch the doorbell of her door by using his paw. The good thing is that the bear after he heard the noise of the doorbell immediately left the front door and proceeded to walk away into the front yard to see bird seed and leave the area as soon as possible. Thank goodness no one involved in the incident with the bear was injured since it appears that the bear could not find food in his neck of the woods due to brought conditions.

Most likely scenario is bears like to eat food like the need to breathe.

When a bear sees food, they will go for the meal in a heartbeat.

It's not a good time for wildlife and then wildlife sometimes becomes desperate to find food. In some places this is the time of year when bears need to find a lot of food before they hibernate.

You're welcome. Most people near areas that get those really cold winters get warnings from officials about this.

Thank you for pointing out that the reason bears go after food in the summer is due to hibernation being around the corner which forces them to go after meals at this time.

It was good that the door bell scared the bear and he left. The farmers here take left over food they grew up into the mountains for the bears.

I did not know about the farmers in the area leaving food for the bears to eat as a way to keep them away from the doors of the home.

I am also happy to learn that no one was hurt in the incident with the bear since I learned that bears cannot handle noise.

Bear: Hello, sir? Sorry to disturb you in the middle of the night, but I'm starving and all doors and malls closed. Could you be so kind giving me some sweet things please?

Good point if a bear could speak to us in real life.

@Adie04 I have learned some valuable lessons about bears from life stories and not cartoons which are entertainment purposes.

@Deepizzaguy I know right? At least we don't have a language barrier. And we no need to be so afraid of them.

I am sure the bear was scared away from the home due to the noise of the doorbell. Noise must be a bear's weakness.

What I know about bears is that are kind creatures but stay away from them and never try to run away from them since they are quick on their feet when they are running.
