This story is kind of odd and funny since officials who are employed by the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) admitted that an employee misspelled the word Albuquerque by spelling the city name Albuqueque that appears on Interstate 40 west. The error was reported by motorists last week when they were traveling on the interstate highway near close to the city of Edgewood New Mexico. The best part of this odd story is that the NMDOT were able to make the change of the incorrect spelling of Albuquerque on the Interstate sign without costing the taxpayers any money. All I can say is that I have a hard time trying to spell the word Albuquerque without the use of a dictionary can be hard for anyone. We are only human after all,

From time to time I've seen road signs with errors too. Mistakes jump out at me for some reason.

That is true since sometimes the employee does his or her job in a hurry and they tend to rush the work to the point where errors will be made.

Actually if I was driving by and looked real quick at the sign I might have not noticed the misspelling but glad they fixed it,

The same reaction I would have had since I have a hard time spelling the word Alburquerque myself.

It was a good deal from officials in New Mexico did make the correction to the misspelled word since taxpayer money is being thrown away by our public servants to dumb items.
