As broke as I am due to being jobless for 2 months I am proud to say I have not maxed out my credit card. I decided to pay 4 days ahead of schedule so as not to forget about it. I won't ever touch it unless I need it badly. It is going to be my last resort. Meanwhile I continue to do online rackets to keep me occupied and to have little extra money for things.

Well a credit card is like a debit card but you can borrow money from it even if you don't have any money on the bank. You do need to pay what you borrowed on time so you don't pay interest. I use it to help me when I am short of cash.

It's good that you paid off the balance of your credit card before the due date. No need to pay interest then.

Although it is very tempting to swipe it at this time that you are out of job. But I guess you are right to decide not touching it for some time because that could bury you to debt if you are careless in using them.

Yeah I want to be able to pay whatever I borrow. If I get my visa this month then maybe I can swipe till I get my first salary. Before that I must really be cautious with money.

It can't be easy not having a job for so long. I am glad that you're able to pay it and not max it out.

It is very difficult and this month is proving to be harder since I have exhausted my savings. My boyfriend has been a great help and is covering the groceries.
