New cushion worked out amazing.

Yesterday I bought a gel cushion for my wheelchair, because the foam ones I've been using are to large and to thick. While comfortable, I sat to high which isn't good. This was easier to use and after spending the day indoors, it felt cool to sit on for the first half. It warmed up around where I cross the road, but with as hot as it is outside I am surprised it took that long. Not super comfy, but I know I've felt with far worse. Since it's gel, I suppose it'll take some getting used to.

I don't know the brand. George took the box down to the dumpster last night, and the trucks had come and gone by the time I got home. But, Amazon just calls it an Orthpitic Gel seat cushion, and that's where I bought it.

@Deepizzaguy I am not saying foam isn't comfortable. Because it can be. However, the foam cushions didn't fit my chair and I sat to high in them. So doing things in my wheelchair were harder then they needed to be.

I find gel types more comfortable than ordinary foam cushion. I am a cyclist. And we usually use padded cycling shorts or bib. I remember many years ago, only foam types were available and it was really hot and after half an hour of cycling I can feel some discomfort. And after several uses, it doesn't seem to serve its purpose anymore.
These days the cycling shorts are made of high quality gel type cushion.
