China Perturbed with Nancy Pelosi Visit to Taiwan

I have been watching the news with great interest and the subject that has really got my attention is the visit of Nancy Pelosi to Taiwan. The lady has guts and she defied the bluster and threats by China. The Chinese President had warned of " dire consequences" but it appears he had to eat the humble pie.
Nancy duly visited Taiwan and met the Taiwan president. It was the first visit by an important American political figure in 25 years. Hats off to Nancy for her guts when even the US military had advised against it.
The Chinese reacted but the dragon's act in a whimper. They fired all sorts of missiles all around Taiwan and some landed in the sea of Japan.It was all bluster with no substance and meaningless. Nancy is back home leaving the Chinese gnashing their teeth. The next step should be recognition of Taiwan as an independent country. Keep your fingers crossed.

I was just wondering what she achieved doing a visit like that in an already very tense situation
Anyway their executive, legislative and judicial branches are separate, I'm praying Taiwan won't be the next Ukraine otherwise the U.S. would find herself fighting on 2 fronts, it would drag all of us here in Asia.

I would be perturbed at anything that Pelosi does..she is monstrous a modern evil in the world. A dragon if you will.

CCP is just coward,Pelosi is a great Freedom Fighter.CCP shouted they'll shoot Pelosi's plane down if she dared to visit Taiwan and they cursed they'll start a war if Pelosi dared to see the Supreme Leader of Taiwan.
But when Pelosi decided to visit Taiwan and truly spoke with Tsai Ing-wen,this evil and coward Communist party did nothing,they just banned their social medias,so people won't see the truth.Then they arrested many freedom fighter in Mainland to show their tyranny.
CCP is nothing but a slug,it only dares to torture and enslave its own people.When Pelosi and Taiwan shows the force of the Freedom World,they only dares to shoot the missiles to attack the fish in their own sea.That's what CCP is.And the ridiculous things is some of their missiles fell into Japanese Sea,it missed the target.Really a funny clown.

I’m perturbed, too. She’s not the president (or our ambassador to China, Taiwan, or anywhere else), so what’s she doing over there? She should be back here in the States, doing her job in the House of Representatives instead of agitating others!!

@madan02 I do not prefer China, but I know why Americans are interested to Taiwan, surely not because they want their freedom. I am against those who are moving the strings to start more wars around the world. I am close to Russia and Ukraine and that is enough for me.
