Are You A Person Who Doesn't Trust Anyone?

Most people have someone they can trust. But after a lot of thinking and deliberation, with many examples and observations, but most important - my feeling, I can't say there's a single person I trust. I'm a skeptical person, but I've always wanted to believe in the better parts of humans, but I think I've been fooling myself. Maybe I just couldn't accept it, but when the evidence is all there for me, I have to accept it. Is there anyone else who doesn't trust anyone?

I'm quite the opposite. I always trust people until they give me a reason not to.

@toniganzon same here! Always giving the benefit of the doubt and yes I admit it ends badly most of the time I still trust and believe in people. I think this is rooted in my belief that we are all born good and that all the scheming and lying is just learned behavior. So even when a person does me wrong I always try to get to the bottom of why they did what they did. I’m always interested in the build up not just the act.

I don't want to admit it, but I'm forgiving, even when I tell myself I would never forget said person.

@Greencindere I think it is a cultural thing too. As a religious country, we were taught to be kind and to think of others the same way.

After being scammed 3 times and broken hearted 2 times, I think yeah. I choose not to trust anyone until they give me a solid reason to trust to.

@PinkFloydFan It's okay. They say it's never too old to learn anything. I guess it's never late to learn lessons in life, as long as you are not stubborn and repeat the same mistakes.

Sorry to hear about it.. For me, I finally learned after hitting 40 (a few weeks ago) that I can't put myself in a vulnerable position ever again. Not even online. I'm socially distancing everything!
