With constant rain and thunder my CCTV monitor is not working.

With constant rains and thunder my CCTV monitor is not displaying anything. The technician had asked me to keep it switched on sometimes everyday. I did do that everyday but today all of a sudden the monitor started behaving oddly. At first it showed "No Signal " on its screen then it did start working but the display kept on getting wiped out time and again and ultimately the display screen stopped working with only the start indicator blinking.
What might have gone wrong? The monitor or the hard disk? The technician has promised to come and check. Since it's raining I think they will reach after it stops raining.

Thunderstorms can wreak havoc on electrical signal. I bet it will be working again, after the storm is over.

Yes, I have to after I was robbed of my jewelry and moreover I am alone. Women young or old are always vulnerable.

@aninditasen I think CCTV is not connected with satalite than how it stop working in bad weather, it is indoor equipment

My dish TV too stops working when it rains. I am waiting for the cctv technician to come and check.

Thunderstorm sometimes does affect electricity or signals. Due to the typhoon, we had heavy rain and thunderstorm the last few days. One day, my place was out of electricity for half an hour.
