Surprise! Another UTI

I've been sick off and on pretty much for the last two weeks. First was trying to prevent a complete intestinal obstruction (managed at home, thank God), then it morphed into an IBS attack.
Was on smoothies and bland soft food to try to survive nausea, stomach pain, and other gastro issues.
I lost about six pounds which was the only positive in the whole deal. I wanted to lose about ten, but not that way. I'll still work on those last few pounds.
Finally went to the doctor today and of course I have a UTI. I'll get meds tomorrow for that and hopefully for IBS.
Not fun, but so thankful it's not worse. So many of you are going through tougher things than this and you're in my prayers.
God is merciful and He's the great Physician. Hold on to Him.

Thanks, I started the medicine today, so hopefully it will work soon.

@1creekgirl The medicine they give here are not very effective, they do not want to give strong medications. When I had UTI I crossed the border and went to Italy, they have a pill that stops the problem in less than 12 hours.

It's too inconvenient to do things if you have UTI Hope you will speedily recover.

A UTI? That's no fun. I have had one of those only once, and I didn't know until I had a 101 degree fever. I associated a UTI with strictly pain. I go to my doctor, they tell me I have a fever, then give me a jug to pee in. And that's how I knew.

@1creekgirl Oh yes, I was fine.
My mom got several UTIs as she got older, but I don't think they knew why.

Did you recover okay? I never had one until I was probably in my 50s. Now I've lost count, I've had so many.

I'm so sorry, Vicki! You have had a tough time of it. And as for the UTI, I am always miserable with pain and feeling like I have to go every 5 seconds; so I know how that can be. Praying that you will be well soon!

Yeah, I'll get on Macrobid tomorrow and hopefully a new med for IBS.
