Women seeks justice for her illegitimate son

Is it safe to have a intimate physical relationship when a couple is in love. In this torrential rain in Odisha where most of the streets are overflowing with rain water a woman sits in front of her boyfriend's house asking for justice for her 19 month old son and herself.
Though financially stable she wants the title of a wife and her son a father's title. She wants her boyfriend's family to accept her as their daughter-in-law which they aren't. Therefore she is sitting in front of her boyfriend's house and begging the police and the court to give her justice. She has requested the media to support her.
Wouldn't she have been more careful. Today it's the baby who's going to suffer the most. He will get the tag of illegitimate and will be looked down upon by the society without a legitimate father. This child will grow either into an introvert or a violent person or a person with a split personality. Who should we blame for this child's damage.

Certainly not the child's fault but illegitimacy is accepted in this country. It is quite commonplace here.
It is a pity that women did not be more careful though there I agree.

@RebeccasFarm You are right. Women should avoid the temptation of physical relationship in a love affair that often leads them to disaster.

This woman had not married her boyfriend. She was just in a love relationship with him.

That's what you say but the baby has to bear the burnt of the society if not accepted by his biological father.

I don't think she'll get justice as the boys family wants to wave her off their son's life by paying some money.

@aninditasen It always comes back to the money. What a heartbreaking story.

Hope justice may be served for the woman's legal entitlement especially for her Illegitimate son.

Yes, I too hope the same but a man and his family who have offered money to get rid of the mother and her baby will not allow their family name to be used. It's only the court that can give the mother the right use the biological father's name.

@Nakitakona That's a good rule. At least the child won't be affected psychologically but sometimes children in school are asked about their father, that's very painful.

@aninditasen We have law here that a illegitimate child may use the family name of his mother.

I have to say, why are you blaming only the mother of the child?? ''Wouldn't she have been more careful.'' The last time I checked, a woman cannot make a baby by herself. A baby requires sperm and an egg. Sure, she could have been more careful and prevented her pregnancy. And so could the father!
Why tag a child like that? He's just a baby. He didn't pick his circumstances. But one good parent is better than one good and one bad, she needs to just suck it up and move forward with her life.
I realize some countries look down on illegitimate children. But oh, that needs to change.

The man that's just enjoying a woman's body never takes precautions and so we women have to be careful when in love before marriage. I know it's not the child's fault but he has to suffer because of two adults mistake.

@MarieCoyle This facility is not available in India and cannot be given because as it is in India the population is high and there will no end to child birth by reckless couples. Moreover even if the state supports the child the child does get affected psychologically because of the parents fights.

In the US, she could get child support, whether she was married to the child's father or not.
So no men in your country use any precautions nor do they have to support any offspring they father out of wedlock? And no child should suffer from the sins of the parents. This is just wrong on every level.

That is so sad how things are there in your country. Here people have babies out of wedlock all the time. My sister has 4 children born without being married to their fathers. Some people want a child and don’t have or want a husband and will have invitro and have a baby. People in your country must not even be able to conceive of that happening .

We have the invitro here too but childless couples who are married go for it. No single woman has taken this step for fear of the father's name.
