It's different living in town, Part 2

I remembered "WHY" I was invited to move to town. My home burned down in 2020 and I moved in with my boyfriend right after the fire. I remember the night of the fire too. My boyfriend and I were coming home from town, and I saw the flashing lights and the fire engines down by where my place had been. It had caught fire and burned to the ground with everything in it, including my beloved dogs and cats. I lost it all!!! I remember running down the hill bare footed to save my critters, it took 5 firemen to hold me back and keep me from running into the burning structure. The fire captain told me that the animals had perished before they felt any pain and they didn't suffer. He also informed me that the electric company had started the fire. There was a surge in power, and it went down the line and literally blew up the breaker boxes and the fire ensued. I'm still trying to get reimbursement from the power company for my loss, everything was destroyed including my vehicle. My boyfriend stepped forward and asked me to move in with him. It was a blessing to say the least. When he passed away his daughter inherited the home, and I couldn't stay so I found this place and moved. I was mourning having left things behind when I moved but when I remembered the fire last night things were set straight. Now all I have to do is pry some money out of the power company...they filed bankruptcy last year and claimed that I couldn't sue. The doctor must have used some sort of memory clearing gas on me when he operated, I'm relieved that my memory is coming back it's really disturbing to not remember large chunks of your life. At least I didn't leave a bunch of stuff behind when I moved to town.

Thank you so much for the prayers!!! I am still discovering things that I forgot-it's almost like having birthdays and Christmas all in one. I am vaguely remembering moving in here, now all I need to do is discover "WHEN" I moved into the place. I promised a lady my Elna sewing machine and then I couldn't remember if I still had it. Fortunately, it was in my closet with the accessory box with it. I just need to find the instruction book and a couple of other things that go with it.

It is so nice when our memories work. We are able to remember and work through a lot of life. I remember some posts about that fire and moving in with your boyfriend. Glad you are doing okay.
