Top five time! And, as there was a bonus yesterday, that must mean today’s song is country. I’m sorry, but not. It’s my upbringing, and I wouldn’t change it for anything. Here’s the next song with “talk” in the title. #5: The Talking Walls - Jim Reeves Oh, sure, I was gonna leave him off? Oh, Linda? No, dear. Run along and listen to the Bee Gees again. Poor Jim Reeves sure had trouble with walls, didn’t he? My myLot name is one of his big hits, “Four Walls.” Those walls were “closing in on” him. In this song, they’re talking to him! Poor guy!!! I’ve mentioned before that Reeves was taken from a country singer to one of the mainstays of the “Nashville Sound” after the success of “Four Walls” and “He’ll Have to Go.” But he still recorded purely country music (as this song proves). The problem was that RCA released them automatically on the budget label (RCA Camden). I’m glad he at least made the effort, despite the record company’s protest.
