Some Senior Moments are Weird

I remember when I was a young child I so enjoyed hearing my grandmother's stories of her childhood, family stories, etc. She knew so many family members I hadn't met and didn't know. So many pleasant memories.
So, I was thinking(Ouch!)now how odd it is but, I am suddenly(well, over the last few years)remembering so many things from my lifetime of 70 years.
It is as if a door has opened and I am now remembering things I hadn't before. Is that an ole fogey thing or what? Rather than these memories, I don't seem to have much of a memory at all. What up?

That's normal. I am just saying that it seems that just recently I have been getting more memories from my childhood. Where I didn't that much before.

I really don't know, but I know that I live for my memories. They pop up at different times, like playing music or seeing a photo, and then it all comes back to me. I rather enjoy that. I will tell you what I do not like and what happened today. I am preparing to do blogging tomorrow, and now I share some links from the articles I post on Vocal Media to my WordPress blog so that in this way, I can pass the link along and get myself some more pennies on Vocal Media. I had just recently written a get post on Portland, Oregon, and could not remember if I had passed the link onto my blog. Well, I took care of that problem and found out quick, but boy, do I hate forgetting such simple things,

Maybe it is just that I am doing different things now and that brings memories to mind.

I remember my past better than my present at times.

Me too! But, it is like just over the last few years more childhood memories have been coming to me.

Same here! I have occasional memories of things of no real significance from 50 years ago, but I can't tell you what I had for supper last night! There's probably something scientific-sounding in the brain when you get older that causes that.

I know that the brain changes as we age but, does it open up the memory areas of the brain more? I am wondering.

to be honest I dont remember a lot , its not that Im losing my memory I just never had them in the first place I think, or they are shut away somewhere.... most things I remember are bad things .
I think I remember things but its only because there is a photgraph of them usually
