I'm getting tired of social media

I'm getting tired of social media. I abandoned facebook several years ago and I'm slowly losing interest in instagram. YouTube still seems more relaxing to me than these other social networks. I have seen a rise in vulgarity and the distortion of values ??and it drains my energy. It seems that right has become wrong and wrong has become right. I'm beginning to believe that there isn't as much support for those who defend good morals. There is a lot of resistance when you refuse to accept what society is pushing at you and decide to think and act on your own. This increasingly politicized world is increasingly toxic as well. Soon I intend to retire from instagram and spare my mental health from useless things.

The thing for me is that there is a lot of 'variety' in social media circles, and so I can easily enough pick and choose to participate in and see what I want or avoid the stuff that I don't. When it comes to things like politics, it can be rather toxic, but I think it is our duty as citizens to be listen, see all sides, and participate so that we can make better decisions when we choose our leaders.
I actually like that social media has opened more doors than it has closed.

Many people who were on various social media platforms are finding more joy without them.
A little bit of social contact online is alright, but some get into it where it robs them of living their actual life.
I never had a facebook account, and am very happy for that, as I never had a twitter account or any of the others.

The only reason I stay on Facebook is because that is how stay in contact with some of my relatives.
