Megan Kulikowski who is an employee in the cafeteria at the Padua Franciscan High School in Padua Ohio is being praised by her fellow employees and the principal of the school Bob Dirocco for doing her job to save a female student who was choking when she accidently swallowed on a plastic water bottle top last week. Megan took action to assist the female student whose name was not released to the public went near Megan to tell her in an inaudible voice that she needed help after she accidently chewed on a plastic water bottle during lunch. Megan who did learn CPR while she was working at St. Columbkille School by using the Heimlich maneuver to remove the object from her mouth. The mother of the choking victim has praised Megan for being her savior. Megan has learned that she is ready to use her life saving skills at any time since choking incidents can happen at any time. I am sure that Megan will receive a lifesaving award from city officials in the future since she earned her act of heroism.

Lucky Megan was there to-get that bottle cap out of the girls throat. Good that she knew what to do.

That is what I have noticed that teachers as well as persons who work in the cafeteria have the skills to work with life saving techniques these days.

@RubyHawk It is a good idea for all companies to require that the employees taking first aid courses since they will be needed to save a life of a stricken person.

Kids do some really dangerous things sometimes. I hope the child has learnt not to chew on plastic lids anymore.

Megan will admit that she was doing her job to assist someone who needed her help. She is a down to earth person.

That is what I am wondering why the child would be chewing on a plastic bottle cap myself.

I'm glad Megan was able to help the student. Maybe the student will learn not to chew on a bottle top.
