My mango tree surprised me with a ripe mango.

Today morning maid gave a ripe mango. I was surprised and asked where did she get it from. She replied from my garden. I really felt happy to hear that my mango tree has hidden its mangoes somewhere within its leaves to suprise me in the off season.
Sometimes little things suprise us and bring joy along with it. I prepared a smoothie with it along with some apples and milk for breakfast. It kept me full until lunch.

You are right. I think it hid among the mango leaves and no one could see it. It just fell down after it was ripe.

Looks good, the ones we get here are greenish, and maybe reddish at the ends. I haven't seen one that color here.

@aninditasen for me it’s best eaten when it’s unripe because it’s not very sour

@sol_cee I see. In India we call it the 'Kalmi Aam'. In doesn't get soft even after it ripes. There are lots of varieties of mango in India.

It seems that this month is a season for mango. Our market is selling mangoes by piece or kilo. I love mangoes. They're rich in vitamin C.

We aren't getting mangoes in the market here. It's off season now and my tree had a mango surprisingly.

It's not the season of mangoes in India too. My mango tree surprised me with a mango in this off season.
