Do you hate waiting in hospital or clinics??!!

Hi guys, Hope you all are doing good. I am doing well. Today in the morning, I had visited the hospital nearby, nothing major as such. I thought I got a boil kinda thing on my backside near tailbone. I was doing everything at home like keeping hot pack, putting icecubes/ icepack on affected area. I then started keeping soaked warm water cloth on affected area till the time I can show it to doctor as on Saturday, there was Ganesh Visarjan hence the doctor was on leave. I entered the hospital around 9:30am and waited for the doctor. He arrived at 10:30am thereby checking me around 10:45am. Actually he had come early but was on round checking other admitted patients. Inspite of the hospital being hygienic and all, somehow I don't like to wait in hospitals or clinics. I had my mobile with me for distraction still anxiety and stress increases during waiting. The doctor on examination has said that I have got fungal infection and not a boil so have prescribed antibiotics and ointments cream to apply twice a day for 5 days. He assured me that it will get fine. I am relieved now. Let me know your thoughts when visiting hospital/clinic. Can you relate with me??!! Have a good day!! Take care!!

We are requested to turn off our phones in the waiting areas in the hospitals and at the doctor office. There is never a long waiting.

@Rashnag The only place where we wait a bit longer is the ER, as you go there without an appointment.

@LadyDuck oh but isn't that place when one goes in emergency so shouldn't have to wait I guess

They don’t bother me probably because my husband is a nurse so I’m in and out of hospital and doctors office often enough plus I have 3 kids so you never know when one will be sick and needing a visit to the doctor. I rather wait in a hospital then some other places where it’s more germy. I do get bored and would need something to do.

@Rashnag they are not suppose to be find when your waiting a lot of people just want it quiet because it might be the only time that day it is

I don't like waiting in the hospital. This is why I often book the earliest time so that I don't have to spend longer time there. Here the hospitals are full of patients.

Last month we had to wait in the lounge of the polyclinic for over an hour and a half. Though unhappy , we had to wait patiently.
