Hi guys,
Hope you all are doing good. I am doing well too. Today, 14th September is celebrated as "Hindi Divas" and in fact will be celebrated throughout the week till 21st September.
In India, different languages are spoken in different places and majority of people almost 78% of the population speak Hindi Language.
The origin of Hindi comes from the Vedic Sanskrit. The Constituent Assembly of India announced Hindi as Rashtriya Bhaasha i.e. National Language on 14th September.
Hindi is the fourth most spoken language after English, Spanish and Mandarin in the world.
There are lot of Indians settled in abroad countries who take pride in speaking Hindi Language.
Apart from India, Hindi is spoken in Fiji, Trinidad, Mauritius and Nepal, constituting the international borders.
Among many Hindi Novelists and writers, this day is chosen to pay homage to Beohar Rajendra Sinha. On his 50th birthday, on 14th September, 1949, the decision of making Hindi an official language was announced.
To expand the value of the language, a Hindi week is constructed from 14th September to 21st September to award the geniuses who have made significant changes in the progress of Hindi Language as Writers, Novelists, Journalists etc with a motive to encourage usage of Hindi Language.
I hope you found this information interesting. I am proud to be an Indian and to speak Hindi Language as much as I can. Have a good day!! Take care!!

I think the written language looks so fascinating. To my western eye, it appears as if everything is written UNDER the line instead of on top of it (the way we were taught in elementary school). Is that called Sanskrit or does “Sanskrit” refer to one particular aspect of the language?

@FourWalls. Sanskrit is a language as rightly replied by Sanjeev and it's an ancient language being discovered since decades.
