Garden Veggie Jokes

When I read this it made me smile. Very clever and I was eating a salad so very appropriate! Speaking of gardens my friend always has a large vegetable garden and we so enjoy her donations. This Summer because of the extreme heat for such long periods she lost most of her veggies. Lettuce did well because it grew before the heat hit. Regardless of how much she watered it did not change the outcome. Because of the slow flow of veggies the prices at the farm stands and in grocery stores are high.

That reminds of a thing my mother used to say, that dated from her schooldays. Spring is a dangerous time because the cowslips about, the bullrushes out, and the hedges on both sides are shooting.
