Sad week here in the United Kingdom. We knew she was going to die this year but it was still a shock. There was no hysterical crowds this time like there was for Princess Diana but just respect and sadness. The queues of people that waited all day and night got to stand in front of the coffin and their Queen must have had an extraordinary experience. I didn't go and dont bow to people. We were all born equal. I did respect her and what a great job she has done for the country. She served the people, That was the deal. You keep your castles but we the people instruct you to represent us. Yes, all the pageantry, symbolism and parades is about marketing the Royals so they can carry on but we did need them,. Her death was like the 'G' falling from Great Britain . The B fell in 2016. It feels like the country has lost most of its meaning and power this week. King Charles will do OK but the Commonwealth will fall apart. We will be Belgium one day soon.

She was a great Queen and a great woman, Charles will be okay, but several countries part of the Commonwealth will leave. They will regret later, when they lose the advantages of economic trading and manage debt.

Queen Elizabeth was a wonderful leader that did her best to represent her nation with class that will never be replaced.

I saw a video of a spectator making unflattering comments at King Charles when he stopped by the crowd of well-wishers. Not all British subjects are fans of the monarchy. In the old days, King Charles would have said "off with his head"
