The first wing-based breakfast of the year

The requirements for being invited to a birthday breakfast that we do at work seem to change from year to year. First it was just science teachers in our end of the wing. Then it was all science teachers. Then it was a handful of teachers in the wing along with an administrator and a few other random teachers in the building. I can't keep up. Anyway Friday is the first celebratory breakfast for a younger coworker's 30-something birthday. He and I used to get along well but that relationship has deteriorated quite a bit over the years. My classroom is out of the "our side of the wing" range but I keep getting invited because I am the only person who actually makes something rather than buying it. People bring muffins, cookies, candy, donuts, etc. I am always privately emailed, thanked, and complimented on what I contribute because it was good but also homemade. My contribution for this one will be bagel bombs with dill and cucumber cream cheese filling. They are exactly what they sound like. They take some time but aren't difficult. The birthday boy is a vegetarian which is why I'm not doing my usual bacon/scallion cream cheese plug. So here we go. Celebration breakfast #1!
Guys, remember when I was going to get really good at baking bread? Well… that didn’t happen, as made evident by the paltry number of recipes in the Bread & Loaves section of my Recipe Index.   For a long time, my excuse was that I was looking for that one

Sounds yummy. I'd want to take a nap after a big breakfast.
