It is very rare for a bear to make an appearance on the campus of Colorado State University in Fort Collins in Friday morning. How the bear managed to leave his home in the woods is not known at this time, the good news is that the bear who climbed a tree. Students and the teachers were told to stay away from the area where the bear was seen. The good news is that wildlife officials knocked out the bear with tranquilizer guns and use a rope to get the bear down to the ground before the bear was taken away to a safe area away from the college campus before the students and teachers could return to the area safely. The bear will be okay after spending some time in dreamland when he awakens from the effects of the tranquilizer.

Wow, must have been some scared people trying to find out what was happening. I’m glad they got the bear down and back home in the woods.

We had a report of a mountain lion sighting in Garden City(a suburb-like town near Boise) here a few days ago. Nice this bear was humanly treated. I hope the mountain lion is also.

I also hope that the mountain lion does get care from the wildlife officials and not killed unless it is in self defense.

@Deepizzaguy ...........Last time they killed it. People don't seem to realize that when you move out into the boonies you are apt to run into such wild animals.

@celticeagle You are right since the wild animals do not like invaders in their yard.

It is close to the time where bears want to eat food now before the winter comes and they take a rest.

I am sure that every wildlife official will kill any bear unless it is in self defense.

It is scary to read these stories of bears and other animals coming too close to humans. Glad he will be ok now.
