My cat Ramona ran away :(

We live on the seventh floor, and for many years our cat would go out on the roof, to play and walk around in the afternoons, she was a tabby cat, with spots integrated into her stripes, a small tail. She didn't like to be picked up, but I could pet her when we was already lying down.
A week ago on Thursday I heard a meow, and I opened the door, but she didn't come in. She is gone. How could she run away from the roof on the 7th floor????

@LadyDuck I don't think so. it is hard to know what happened to her. . . . I miss my cat.

She didn't like to be picked up, someone might have called animal control who came and got here, but there was no way for me to know. I don't want to get another cat now, . . .

I think that she went into someone's apartment from the roof through the window and the people took her out and didn't tell anyone. So she is gone. . .

I hope that she is happy being an outdoor cat if that is where she is. I have not seen her outside at all.

Someone had picked her up or she followed some other cat or prey. Did you check other floors, ground floor maybe ?

No, since she was an indoor cat, we didn't put a collar, she kept taking them off, so I left them off. She was a bit fat to be an outdoor cat.

I don't know how she could have gotten down, usually she would come back in the evening.
