When I'm feeling low, I crave sweet foods. I eat chocolate, ice cream, cookies or cakes. But due to their high calorie and sugar content, they cannot be consumed frequently. Recent research revealed that there are some healthy foods which may improve overall brain health and boost a person's mood - Fatty fish like salmon; Fermented foods like kimchi, yogurt; Bananas; Oats; Berries; Nuts & Seeds; Coffee; Beans & Lentils; Dark chocolate. What food do you eat when you're feeling low?

To lift my mood, I drink coffee after a meal. Or maybe eat some chips.

@Beestring I heard that is the healthier type of chocolate. Too bitter for me.

@yoalldudes Yes, dark chocolate is healthier than milk chocolate. They are not so sweet and have more cocoa.

A lot of people like potato chips. Me too when I was younger. Now I'm concerned that they are not too healthy.

I don't tie food to my feelings. How does that work? Why do people associate 'feeling good' with 'hogging out'?

@Beestring I suppose it's close to the way some online games- or other entertainment-lifts your spirits---by triggering little dopamine-boosts in your brain (when you taste the sweet, your brain tells you it's a "reward" and lights up some "Good Job!" brain-cells).
