Yeah, go ahead and read that again, so you are sure you read it right. I know I had to read it a couple of times.
Now that we are all on the same page of this awful-sounding delicacy, let's get down to the meat of the matter. Heh, see what I did there.
This lovely little recipe comes to you from Betty Crocker in the nineteen-fifties. While it says pineapple in the title, it is clickbait because it might be in the shape of a tropical fruit. But it far from tastes like it. The "pineapple" is concocted and built out of a whopping pound of sausage made of liver, mayo, Worcestershire sauce, and the ingredient in seemingly every recipe from the fifties. That's right you guessed it, GELATIN. The frosting that gives the outside of that beautiful sculpture isn't frosting either. This recipe is just full of lies. It's mayo mixed with gelatin.
I just. I don't understand why. Why mold these foods into this shape? I would ask why gelatin was added, but it was the fifties. So there is no answer that makes sense. At least to this born in the 1990's girl.
So, what say you? Eat, or trash?

@CarolDM I am not either. And I like pate and potted meat on occasion. But this is disgusting!
