Spastic Cat

The photo displayed is the perfect representation of one of my cats. She is nuts. This would definitely happen if an alien decided to catnap her. She does the same to us when we try to love her. Well, some days she is all snuggly and wants you to love her. Other days, she is like a psycho. I tell my husband, if anyone ever broke into our house she would be our guard-cat. She is tougher than the dog.

That is a funny cartoon. The trouble with cats is they are usually self serving and could care less about what might be happening to their humans

This is true. I have had a couple, though, that seemed very in tuned to me and attentive. The first one, was the one we got while we lived in NY. We got her for my son. She had to be right up under him. But she was protective of the whole family. The second is one that I have now. She is not the one mentioned in the post. This cat is so sweet. She patiently waits for her food. If I am upset, she gets all snuggly. If I am happy, she wants to play. She lets me hold her whenever I want, and is always calm. She is quite unusual for a cat.

@gnatsmom Your cat does sound like she'd be great help if there was ever someone trying to mess with you guys or break into the house! My cat isn't that bad but she often goes from loving to instantly wanting to bite some fingers. Kinda funny really because it's such a drastic change from "Pet me" to "I'm gonna bite ya!" Love the photo!

The cat I mentioned in the post is exactly like that. She was snuggling around my neck last night. She wanted me to pet her and she was eating up the attention. She got down to go play for a while. Then she came back and jumped up on the arm of my chair. Without warning, she just bit my wrist then left. Even though she is bipolar (as I call her), she will protect the family. If someone she doesn't know comes in the house, she stalks them. If they move too suddenly or get animated, she will attack their legs. She also attacks the dog everytime he runs in. If he comes in calmly and sits down and behaves, she will just stare at him. But if he gets hyper and starts acting crazy, she will attack him and she always wins.

@gnatsmom Oh dear! I don't blame you for calling her bipolar lol as I have called my cat that too at times! I am glad that she is protective of you all. That's really sweet!
