The Canadian King of Psychological Thrillers has penned another 5 star novel. ~~~~ It's always the husband, isn't it? When his wife Brie vanishes from their home one night, never to be seen again, people assume Andy got away with murder. The police can't build a case against him, but still his friends and neighbours abandon him. Six years later, Andy's life is back on track, and he's settled with a new girlfriend. And when he hears his old house has been bulldozed and rebuilt, he's not bothered. Things are good. But then one day, a woman who looks like Brie shows up at their old address, screaming 'Where's my house? What happened to my house?' before vanishing as quickly as she appeared. And as dark suspicions resurface, Andy's future depends on discovering what the he** is going on. The trick is staying alive long enough to find out... ~~~~ This was an easy and suspense-filled read. Several characters come into play since Brie has 3 siblings who are all married, a mother-in-law, a best friend, an exterminator, the new girlfriend, her son, and a couple of other characters, but they are all so distinct. I didn't feel any confusion, didn't have to flip back the pages as I have indicated in previous reviews. Linwood Barclay is a masterful mystery/suspense/thriller writer. I am not exaggerating when I say his books are page turners. I planned on going to bed several times last night but kept pushing through until I finished the book. Just when I thought I knew who dunnit, the story changes direction and I think it's another person. This happens a few times. Nope. Never saw that coming. If you love thrillers, do not miss this one!

@Marilynda1225 Spies and espionage are not my thing. Probably why I haven't read James Patterson even though I'm pretty sure I have at least one of his books in my house.

That’s the type of books I enjoy most other than true crime stories. I think I’ve read Linwood Barclays but I’m not sure.

I think he has written 20 books. I've read 10. I know I have 2 more on a shelf here.

@patgalca I’ve made a note of his name. I’ll look for his books at the library. I just brought home a load of books a couple of days ago. I’m reading Fannie Flags Welcome To The World Baby Girl.

I didn't find this one too scary. It was a lot of figuring out who dunnit.
