The winning of Virtue over Evil Festival was celebrated yesterday!! / myLot

Hi guys, Hope you all are doing good. I am doing well too. Yesterday 5th Oct, was the "festival of Dussehra" which has the main message of "Winning of Virtue over Evil". After Navratri festival gets over, Dussehra is celebrated on the 10th day and is considered a very auspicious occasion. On this day, the Ravan idol which symbolises Evil is burnt by Lord Rama who is virtuous. This festival is celebrated throughout India with great joy along with plays and dance performances. The main message this festival carries is that Evil no matter how strong or wise it is, it loses and virtue i.e good and right thing always wins in life. On this day, people wear new clothes and enjoy eating Jalebi which is a yummy Indian traditional dessert. We can all celebrate this festival by removing bad qualities or characteristics from ourselves and being virtuous in life. Let me know your thoughts about it. Have a good day!! Take care.

Hope that we get the message that the festival gives and follow it. Unfortunately, many out there just see festivals as only ways of having fun and excuse for celebration. Festivals have deeper meaning. Hope all is well with your brother and mom. When do you have to join your job?
