Birthday of a friend

Today is the birthday of a friend of mine. Typical birthday celebration here in the Philippines is with food of course, beers and a videoke. By the way guys, do you also celebrate birthdays with videoke, a rented sound system/component for those who love to sing all day/all night long during celebrations? Can you also suggest any present I could give him?

I'm a bit out of touch with what's popular for birthday celebrations. I'm not in the right age bracket now.

As we don't know what your friend likes, it would be silly to suggest a present. You can contact other guests and then buy a more expensive present together.
