Three boaters who were reported missing by a relative this weekend were rescued by the United States Coast Guard (USCG) rescue team when the three boaters who were fighting off sharks in a body of water in Empire Louisiana which is near New Orleans on Sunday night.
The three boaters went on a fishing trip on Saturday when they fell into the body of water in Plaquemine Parish. The three boaters were wearing their life jackets which was one reason that they were able to survive when the USCG rescue team that came from New Orleans to rescue two of the boaters who were rescued who suffered hand injuries from the shark bites.
A second helicopter from the USCG that the New Orleans station managed to rescue the third boater out of the body of water before the sharks would harm him.
The USCG helicopters took the three injured boaters to the University Medical Center in New Orleans where they are being treated for injuries that they suffered from the shark bites and the time they spent on the water which caused one of the three boaters to suffer from lack of drinking water.
All three boaters are in the hospital in stable condition. I am sure what happened is that the boat began to sink into the water due to either an error from the captain or a mechanical failure which cause the boat to lose the ability to ask for help from the authorities via a radio and a cellphone.

@Deepizzaguy I hope so. A shark can cause some serious wounds.

@RubyHawk You are right since even the shark movies are entertainment, the bites on swimmers who have bit by them is scary.

I'm so glad the USCG came to the rescue again and collected the boaters before they were injured by the sharks.

The boaters were lucky since they spent over 24 hours in the body of water fighting off sharks when they were rescued.

The boaters were lucky that a relative did call the USCG to search for the missing boaters.
