Have You Heard that Tulsi Gabbard (former Representative from Hawaii) Left The Democratic Party?

She tells us that she only joined The Democratic Party because of the independently minded Democrats who stood for fellow citizens' rights. But today's Democratic Party is now standing AGAINST many of those rights---they are "now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of War mongers driven by cowardly wokeness who divide Us by racializing every issue and stoking anti-white racism, who actively work to undermine our god-given freedoms enshrined in our constitution and who are hostile to people of faith and spirituality who demonize the police, who protect criminals at the expense of law-abiding Americans, who believe in open borders who weaponize the National Security State to go after their political opponents and above all are dragging us ever closer to nuclear war." I'm registered Independent (which would not be wise if I were running for office, when I'd probably register as a Democrat like Tulsi did---especially if I were just starting my political career), and my caregiver is (I think) a Democrat. But I'm pretty sure she doesn't condone any of the views that Tulsi accuses Democrats-of. And I personally don't agree with Tulsi's view of the 2nd Amendment. I mean; we agree on the "shall not be infringed"-aspect of it (i.e. that the government should have NO say as to whether people may have guns), but I would feel safer if NEITHER OF US had guns than -if BOTH OF US had guns. But that disagreement (and a few other disagreements) aside, I'm glad Tulsi Gabbard is escaping from the tyranny-driven party-system. And I wonder what's next for her ... Gabbard for President 2024?

I remember her from the debates, She was way better than Kamala Harris since that woman got issues that were ignored. Anyways, that's what I've watch and heard before. I read she was also against the party's current state. She does not believe in loyalty to the party no matter what but to the people instead.

I wonder if she will join the Republican Party or be an Independent.

@CarolDM Right; because she IS "Independent Minded," but--this current system--you'd have to be "Tom Hanks" (or some other universally beloved celebrity) to run individually against either of the huge teams (and--an army girl--she KNOWS the value of a large group!)

Yup. It was well beyond time. I cannot believe that she had the nerve to run for president in 2020 as a Democrat.

That's making news on social media and people are coming out with different opinions about it. Well, politics and politicians are pretty unpredictable.

I think it's kinda weird how she can claim to have been 'independently minded' for decades within the Democratic Party, and yet not think anyone else is still in the Democratic Party that's independently minded like she's been (although I think that's 'who she's talking-to' in her big announcement---trying to get 'all the GOOD Democrats' to leave the party with her).

@mythociate Leaving parties or switching parties is quite common for politicians. They want to sound genuine but they might not be. Politics is not a fair game and words might or might not mean the truth.

@arunima25 That's because they're like sports-teams---just because they started-out with one strategy-method doesn't mean their leaders won't change the way the team plays in the following seasons.
