I watched the documentary "Rainman Twins" last night on Tubi. I thought these two women were so fascinating I wanted to share them with you all.
These two girls are amazing. Born on January 1, 1956, in Irvington, New Jersey. As children, they were thought to be retarded and were ridiculed and mistreated. Later it was learned that they are the world's only female autistic savant twins.
They have kept charts for 34 years of such things as what their favorite celebrities wear each time they appear on television. They have between made 900 and 10,000 charts since 1974. They can tell you what day it was on any date for the past 50 years.
Dick Clark discovered them when he was doing news stories about remarkable people and paired them with Kim Peek who was the inspiration for the movie "RainMan". This meeting set up a friendship that would continue until his death in 2012.
David Wagner was a news anchor in Tampa, Florida. One night during a late-night phone call he met two twin sisters who had called to welcome him to the Tampa Bay area. He found them fascinating and that phone call spawned a friendship that continued for many years.
They now live in Irvington, New Jersey where they were born having been shifted back and forth to different family members through the years.

@celticeagle I´m glad. The movie "rainman" changed for the better when his brother realized that they had loved each other as children.
