Monday is day to without rice and wheat

I have selected Mondays to go without rice or wheat for weight management. Morning breakfast is a glass of fruit smoothie. Afternoon is a bowl of sprouts, potatoes and cucumber with yogurt and some chat masala and roasted cumin seed powder. I finished my dinner a while ago with oats,gram flour and some vegetable pancakes. I used grated carrots and bottled gourd in my pancakes this time. I also used some grated coconut. I had it with tomato chutney garnished with curry leaves, mustard and fenugreek seeds and asafoetida.
The whole day I felt very light. I am going to take a glass of turmeric and almond milk before going to bed.
Do you have any food choice to control your weight?

I don't have issues with weight management. I am diabetic. So, I try to reduce the amount of grains. I mostly go for a grain free breakfast and dinner.
Your meals sound good.

I am not diabetic. Rather my sugar level is low. I take everything and found my weight is increasing. So I have taken this decision to take such meals once a week along with my daily yoga.

@arunima25 Do you have to take insulin everyday? I have to be conscious of my weight as I am a heart patient.

@aninditasen That's good. Good that you are conscious about your health. I also do regular yoga and other forms of exercise.. I am a variant of Type 1 diabetes.. my body doesn't produce insulin. So, I am dependable on insulin.

Not for weight management but at least once a week I try to eat meatless.
Hope your Mondays of no rice or wheat helps with your weight management. Feeling lighter is a good start

I take vegetarian food on Mondays and this food without rice or wheat I think would decrease my weight which I want to.

I am overweight according to my height and want to decrease it. So I have decided to take this diet in addition doing my yoga.

Your meal plan sounds nice. I'm not over or under weight. Just have 3 meals a day, with a handful of nuts as afternoon snacks.

That's good. I too take oats but prepare pancakes or put some spices and vegetables in it and boil it.
