The fast wind throws down my banana tree with the bananas.

It's raining here sometimes and the wind too are fast at times. This harsh wind has thrown down my Singapuri banana plant along with the bananas which I was waiting to ripe. In the photo is the banana florescent lying on the ground. It was heavy so my maid cut it and brought it inside. I have distributed most of them to my neighbours and my maid. Did fry some banana chips today and had it for lunch. I have to think of ways to cook them and finish them up. At the background of my garden is the neighbour's land lotus tree. The lotus look white as it's early in the morning. Have you had such an experience? Handling trees with fruits that are thrown down on the floor?

That is such a shame, I am sorry that your banana tree suffered as it has from the winds. I do not have any fruit trees for the wind to mess with.

@aninditasen I have not had problems with the wind blowing my banana tree down because I do not have a banana tree. I did have problems with the wind so strong that it almost blew me over with while I was inside my scooter. It was so powerful. Good work what your maid did by cutting it and bringing it inside. That was nice of you to give to the maid and your neighbors. I hope you can find some other ways to use the bananas up.

Yes, everytime the strong typhoon hits our place. Many banana plantations are badly hit. They're all toppled down.

@Nakitakona Banana plants once they get uprooted can't be replanted.

The banana plants have their roots on the surface so when they bear fruits winds can topple them.

@Treborika That's the reason whenever the fruits are heavier than the tree it falls off.

@aninditasen Prop means just supporting them. You must be thinking of cropping them. No if you crop banana plants new leaves will not show up. The plant will die.

@allknowing I did put some support once but yet the branch broke from above the support. I therefore leave it to fate.

You can also boil the bananas and eat them. Wow that wind was like a hurricane or storm. You got a good yield from the bananas.Did you use fertilizer?

It would be worse if the fruit is not yet fit enough for consumption. At least you were able to use the bananas.

No a banana tree bears only one florescent and once it falls it's no use picking it up. I have tried it once but it broke from the tip after a few days.
