The red hibiscus is offered in Kalipuja and Laxmipuja.

I have red hibiscus or ranga jaba growing in pots in my balcony. During Laxmipuja and Kalipuja the red hibiscus is offered to Goddess. In fact many Hindus buy garlands or red hibiscus and offer to the idols of the Goddesses. Diwali is the season when both the Goddesses are worshipped.

Hibiscus blooms can be very large. They are beautiful whatever colour they are.
