The butterfly has its golden cocoon on my terrace wall.

We usually find find a butterfly cocoon on the surface of leaves but I was surprised to see this golden cocoon on the surface was of my terrace. The golden cage looks so beautiful and the caterpillar is safe there. Yet the butterfly flies out of it the moment it matures discarding and destroying the golden cocoon. Aren't we human being identical to the butterfly wanting to fly high? No man would ever enjoy staying in a golden cage and live a bonded life. Our imagination flies high like that of the butterfly and always try to fulfill our dreams and aims.

@aninditasen I must say that I have the freedom at my house. It is a perk for being the eldest in the family.

I too don't like to move from one place to another but want to live a free life in my house with no restrictions.

Cacoons are usually hidden among the tree leaves. It's unusual that the butterfly cacooned its caterpillar on my terrace wall.

Such a great perspective you have shared. And a nice golden cocoon here. I love butterflies. Such grateful and delicate creatures.

I do agree with you. Humans are too ambitious.

You are right. No one enjoys staying in a cage and live a bonded life. A lot of people under authoritarian rule are living in such a condition. I certainly hope to fly high to fulfill my dreams.

Those living in bondage will not stay for long. They will fly off the day they get a chance.
