Even though this incident happened on Wednesday September 21, Cara Blevins who is the principal at Nixa's Century Elementary School in Missouri was at the right place at the right time during the lunch break when a young boy whose name was not mentioned began to choke after he ate a grape that got stuck in the back of his throat after he tried to squeeze the juice out of the grape,
Since Cara has been trained to use the Heimlich maneuver saw her chance to rescue the child from choking to death after he ate a grape during lunch.
The funny part is that Cara took the place during lunch since a schoolteacher who was assigned to supervise the students during that day.
Cara was thanked by her superiors for her actions of saving the life of the student who nearly choked on a grape at a schoolboard meeting at Nixa.

That is true since Cara is one of the few teachers in the school who knows how to use the Heimlich maneuver even though the other teachers have first aid training.

@RubyHawk You are right since all of us will be needed to save the life of a person who needs help.

I will do my best to enjoy my weekend seeing classic comedy on Memorable television and share good news stories on this site.

Glad he was saved but leaves me with a question How do you choke on a grape? I mean you don't swallow it down whole.

The child tried to spit the juice out of the grape and most likely the skin of the grape went down his throat.

That seems to be the case when we eat any type of food in a hurry.

You are right since the other faculty members admitted that they knew how to use their medical knowledge on saving the student but they did not know how to use the Heimlich maneuver.
