I’m Ready For Halloween.

Sooo, @thislittlepennyearns has inspired me to post about my own Halloween costume lol.
I’m being Waldo, as in “Wears Waldo.” I’ve been wanting to do that for years because it would be an easy, fun costume, but I haven’t been able to order the stuff on time. I’m finally able to make it happen this year.
I don’t purchase actual costumes because I’m not a fan of spending $30-$40 (or more) on something I may wear once, especially this close to Christmas. Plus, I can think of other things I’d rather drop that money on than a Halloween costume. So, I tend to look for pieces to make my own costume.
Let’s start with the shirt. I found a red and white striped shirt at the thrift store a few weeks ago, and it was about $4ish. Sold lol! Now, the stripes are thinner and the red is darker than the rest of my costume, but it’s not THAT noticeable, especially at sunset/in the dark. If you can notice the different shades, you’re staring too hard, and you need to back off lol.
I have red and white socks that I’m planning to wear with the costume.
The hat was purchased off Amazon. It’s the same design, just no logo or whatnot (which I didn’t want anyway). I wasn't buying the full costume just for a beanie, and I was picky about how much I wanted to spend. I used a gift card from InstaGC toward the purchase. It fits nicely and can be used as a winter hat, plus it fits the Christmas season too - score!
I have my own glasses, obviously, and I’ll wear a pair of jeggings (denim leggings) and sneakers with the outfit.
So there you go. I didn’t have to spend a lot on my costume, I can wear the apparel again, and I’ll be comfortable on Halloween. I think that’s a win/win/win for me haha.
I haven’t snapped any pictures of myself in my costume. I don’t plan on doing that until Halloween, and I'm too busy to snap one of my costume laid out, so I don’t have any pictures to add to this post lol. However, you can enjoy this picture of a dog in a costume that I found on Pixabay lol. My Doodles has a pumpkin hoodie, but I need to trim her before putting it on her because I don't want her to get hot.
What are you being for Halloween, if you dress up?
Anywho, I’m going to get back to work now. :)

I can see it being a nice home day since I have a doctor's appointment on the first.

@tammys85 No we don't get anyone. Most kids go to parties nowadays.

@sallypup Lol, my three furbabies would love it but that's a whole lot of "hell no" for me. My Doodles got into some chocolate last year while I was out and I legit pulled an all-nighter because I was worried about her, and I couldn't get her to the vet at the time. She threw it up and got it out of her system, thank God.
But I did pick up some doggie treats for them tonight. :)

You're all set for Halloween! Good idea to have what you'd like, but economically! I'm just putting a mask and a headband. A selfie, couldn't get my ears in the headband, sorry.
