Here is an important piece of news that concerns the Prime Minister of England. Ever since parliament was set up in the UK; for the first time, a non-Christian man with roots in India has been elected as the Prime Minister. He has been appointed by King Charles, the son of Queen Elizabeth II. The British ruled India for 200 years and it was inconceivable that a man from a slave nation could become the Prime Minister of the country. After the British were driven out of India in 1947 the clock turned full circle and Sunak a practicing Hindu whose ancestor earlier was from Punjab in India has been elected as the Prime Minister. It is a tribute to British resilience that they have forgotten about past history and put their faith in the hands of Rishi Sunak who incidentally is going to be the youngest Prime Minister for a long time in England. I wish him all the best in his new appointment.
